I see these words over forums every where and I ask myself, is it not redundant?
It's obvious that if the person is typing it, and not referencing some other source that the opinion is theirs.
And why hedge your opinion with "IMHO"? Should you or do you say things you don't believe? Do you have to justify every thing you say?
Just be clear some of the above are rhetorical questions.

it's just a stylistic phrase. you don't need to type it, but people type it to make their messages more... "fluffy".

sometimes i do laugh out loud. but most times its like a freindly period or exclamation mark.

Ok so let's see... A certain person in GW really likes a certain weapon skin. So he comes to the forum and states that he wants to buy it because it's the best skin in game in that person's opinion. I think IMHO is pretty relevant in this case.

i use it for when i state something i have as an opinion cause people are known to quote you thinking you are stating a fact then you can just point to where you said that and giggle
